The Vehemency

It's hard for me to write about the mourners' feeling during the Ashoora, actually if I was a good writer, I never took photograph.

Motion is captured very well here .Did you try to take the exposure up a notch? Maybe dodging will take care of it. It all feels like a distant memory those scenes....

Bonjour Arash,

Excuse my ignorance. Let me ask you if Imam Hossein and the Ashoora feast has something to do with the Mahdi, the current Iranian President is so frequently talking about.

Years ago, I was in Meshed/Iran and saw there a group of men in black clothes. On their back was a kind of open triangle and they hid rhytmically this open naked part of their body with something like a string of chains
with knife blades fixed to it. Their backs were all covered with blood.

When seeing this I was so terrorized that I never even dared to ask someone what I had really seen. But I could not forget this though it happened more than twenty years ago.
